Esalen Institute, Big Sur .. This is one of our favorite places in the world. The food is incredible. The views, the drive there, the natural hottubs out on the cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean -- the rooms that are so clean feeling the trees and plants, the other people walking around, enjoying their meals, sitting together in the tubs, overheard conversations and laughter, workshops in progress ... the garden ... its just beautiful and healthy. There is a small little beach down the cliff from the room where we first stayed where we can stretch out in the sun, naked and listen to the waves ... the first time we visited this spot tara played her dream drum .... .. The entire Big Sur coastal area is a kind of sacred relationship spot for us .... we met, in part, because of our mutual connection with Robinson and Una Jeffers and their incredible home, Tor House, in Carmel.

Or Hot Springs is another of our favorites, in northern california outside of ukiah on the road to the mendocino coast, (707) 462- 6277. Lupin Naturist Club is located near Palo Alto and there is the Human Awareness Institute for seminars. An old friend of tara's manages a naturist website for northern california. the road to mono hot springs is one of the most beautiful roads in the sierras, one lane on the top of the mountain.
