Tara and Bill
We met over the internet in early July of 1996. After several emails we met in late July 1996. We spent a day together on July 20th in Marin County, north of the Golden Gate Bridge -- which is where we now live, in Sausalito, just a few blocks from wher we first met. On July 20th we met at the West Marine store in Sausalito. We walked around and drove to the coast. We ended up hugging forever in front of the docks, before Tara left and returned to Berkeley, where she lived. The next day, Sunday, we met again in the evening and went to the top of the east bay mountains. We told each other we could be falling in love with each other. We emailed and communicated frequently. Tara had to go to Vancouver. We eventually planned a trip to Esalen, via Big Basin State Park. While camping over night we slept together for the first time. We stayed in a beautiful room at Esalen and it was apparent we were really in love. We moved into a house at the beginning of the Tiburon Peninsula in late 1996. When the house sold the following January we moved to our little, wonderful house in Sausalito where the picture above was taken, in February of 1997. Tara has continued to build up her executive skills and I have quit the law firm I used to work for. I am building these pages for us and for our friends ... as a tribute to my dearest love and our relation.
